About Me — Diana Kichuk
Hi, I’m Diana — the person who once put a throw on the “wrong chair” and realized home changes everything
It was a Friday night: a big mug of tea and a tiny apartment where the floor lamp stood at an angle as if it were planning an escape. I moved it closer to the sofa, tossed a throw on the armrest – and the room suddenly felt… softer.
The next day I was already standing with a measuring tape, figuring out where to hide charging cables so they’d stop living their own lives. That’s how my long friendship with “home” began: a bit of light, one plant, a new shelf- and a space that literally exhales and calms down.
From “do mine too” to CasaLory
My friends were the first to know.
–“Di, can you look at my hallway? Is this curable?”
– “Send a photo – we’ll start with the shoe rack and hooks,” I said, already in emergency-interior mode.
Someone got a storage system out of simple boxes; someone switched to warmer, lower lighting and the kitchen stopped being “just a place to put the kettle.” After several evenings with the plan “light – storage – textiles – details,” their friends started messaging me. One day a friend asked:
– “Where do you keep all of this? You’ve got a mini-encyclopedia in your head!”
That’s when the name and idea came – CasaLory. A home where comfort is a plan, not a coincidence.

The first post and a shaky “Publish” button
I remember sitting at night, afraid to click Publish. The photos weren’t perfect; the texts felt like pencil sketches. But there was structure – short steps and checklists. And then came a comment I still keep: “I followed your steps – and my kitchen isn’t chaotic for the first time.”
That night I understood: the blog isn’t about pretty pictures; it’s about useful changes for real people.
What people said
Some people said, “A blog isn’t serious.”
Others cheered: “I read you and want to put everything in order.”
Both reactions gave me fuel. I decided: let the “not-so-serious” make life seriously calmer. That’s why CasaLory is full of practical solutions, while inspiration stays close – but never replaces action.
The moment it all clicked
I visited a friend with a tiny kitchen where “nothing ever fits.” We moved the drying rack to the window, removed one extra shelf, added bins to the lower drawers, and hung a rail. It took less than two hours. The next day she sent a photo – sunlight on the counter, breakfast on plates – and wrote: “It’s the first morning I’m not stressed.”
I realized micro – changes don’t just change the look; they change how you feel. That’s why I’m here.
I’m not perfect (and that’s good)
I’ve had it all: the wrong paint (looked “slightly gray,” turned “slightly blue”), a plant that clearly hated moving, curtains I returned the next day. These mistakes taught me to say:
– “Here’s where not to cut corners,”
– “Here you can save – same result,”
– “If in doubt, start with lighting and storage.”
What CasaLory is today
- Room Guides: structured mini-guides for every room – from entryways to balconies.
- Kitchen / Organization: layouts where every item “knows its home.”
- Bath & Laundry: clean, practical, free of visual noise.
- Outdoor & Garden: a balcony that lives in summer and doesn’t mope in winter.
- Seasonal: light refreshes without dramatic shopping.
- Budget: “best for the money” finds and honest comparisons.
Small wins I’m proud of
- The first thousands of saves on Pinterest (yes, I jumped around the room).
- Emails like “I stopped snapping at everyone in the mornings because the kitchen is finally in order.”
- Mini projects and consults where we peel a home “in layers” and give it air back.
My principles
- Home is for people, not the other way round. No decor is worth an awkward layout.
- Simplicity is power. Light, storage, textures, and two or three quiet details.
- Budget isn’t the enemy of aesthetics. Know where to invest and where you don’t have to.
- Seasonality is like breathing. Small updates on time – that’s how a home feels alive.
How I work
Every morning: tea and 15 minutes looking at a room with a guest’s eyes. What stands out? What bothers? What can I fix to one song? I share this ritual with my readers: tiny steps + noticeable changes.

Dreams and plans
– more clear before/afters and “how to copy” diagrams;
– a weekly email with one simple weekend plan (no fluff, just useful);
– printable checklists for fridge and phone;
– quick videos to grab an idea in a minute.
If we’ve met on social
I love Instagram for real-time stories and small breakdowns (@dk.interio), and Pinterest for clarity and structure (dianakichukblog). We grow, argue, get inspired, save – and then come back and do.
The most important thing
I’m here to help you make friends with your home. Not to redo everything in a weekend, but to tune your space to your life – gently, clearly, step by step. If you love calm palettes, logical storage, and pieces with a story -welcome home, to CasaLory.
